See the following information if you are still interested in the cruise.  October 2013 was selected to avoid the major Caribbean hurricane season.  The class is planning a fun, relaxing, informal Friday 45th observance for the traditional July 2013 celebration.

NOTE:  ** MEANS:  These cabin categories CAN NOT be put into the inventory unless there are names, date of birth and phone numbers associated with the booking. And the deposit must be made at the time of booking that cabin category.  A full deposit of $225ppmust be made to book these cabin categories.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE CABIN CATEGORIES:

All rates above are based on “per person” amounts.  However, all cabins must have atleast 2 occupants sharing which is considered “double occupancy”.

If three or four want to share one cabin (triple.quad), the “dbl” rate must be paid by two persons in the cabin, and third/fourth persons pay the “trip/quad” rate.

However, most people will total the rates of the double per person rate and the trip/quad per person rate, and equally pay the full cabin amount.

For instance, if there are only two people sharing an interior cabin, the full cabin rate is $947.94, thus each paying $473.97 (see above interior “dbl” rate).  If there are three people sharing an interior cabin, the full cabin rate would be $1221.91 ($473.97 twice plus $273.97).  For each to pay equally, the amount would be $407.30pp.

If this is the case, each person must pay $225 for their initial deposit because these cabin categories must have full “per person” deposits paid at the time of booking.  This will bring the cabins into the group.  Remember, these CAN NOT be put into the initial inventory, only double occupancy Interior and Ocean view cabins can be placed in the initial inventory with the minimal initial deposit.

If there are three/four cabin occupants and they are paying equally, a new deposit amount for each due date will be given to those persons.  Otherwise, the above due dates and rates will be the payment schedule.

HOW TO SEND PAYMENTS:

Those interested in going can email me at woodie89@yahoo.com or call 678-363-7434 to receive their reservations forms.  These will be emailed back.  Initial deposits must be made by check and mailed along with the completed reservation forms to the travel agency and must arrive prior to the payment due date, not after.  The forms and payment must be at the agency no later than the due date shown.  The travel agency address will be on the reservation form. This allows the agent to deposit the funds and do a full deposit with the agent credit card, and enter all of the information from the reservation forms in three different databases.

All other payments may be made with a credit card by calling the agent or entering it on the reservation form for further paymentsor sent through agent’s pay pal account (fee attached and must contact agent to set it up), or with a mailed check.

If all of the inventoried cabins do not have initial deposits on them by 10/2/2012, Carnival will take those cabins out of the inventory and those wanting them later may pay a higher rate.  Carnival can and will go up on the rates without prior notice to agents.  Initial deposits will lock in the above rates and the inventoried cabins, but they MUST be made by 10/2/2012.

All payments MUST be made by the above due dates to ensure the cabin is not cancelled because Carnival will cancel a cabin regardless that a payment has been made on it, and sometimes under certain circumstances, they will cancel the entire group booking.

So with Carnival Cruise Lines, payments must be made by the due dates shown above. This can not be stressed enough.  Carnival has changed and not for the better when it comes to on-time payments.

I will address any further questions and concerns anyone has.  Just let me know by email or calling me.  I will check on the hotel and give you information about it and group and individual travel insurance shortly.

Bahamas Cruise Suspended

We thank Brenae for contacting a travel agency that prepared information for a Bahamas Cruise, departing from Charleston, SC, Oct. 13, traveling to Nassau and Freeport, and returning Oct. 18, 2013.  Even though the price was $475 per person, double occupancy interior to $530 per person, double occupancy ocean view, the response rate was low.  We are, therefore, suspending our cruise plans for now.

Our president, Mike Corbett, has some other Raleigh plans that we think will be fun. Our objective is to plan an activity that is relaxed and inviting without overwhelming the Raleigh 'worker bees'.

Stay tuned for more information soon.
