Meeting Notes, Sat., Oct. 30, noon - Corbett's Family Farm - WOW!

Class Meeting
Saturday, October 30, 2010
Corbetts' Farm - Roxboro, NC

The meeting convened at noon with a general discussion about our yearly assessment of $50.00 per year and the scholarship fund of $25.00 per year; reminder: we can pay both in installments. Our fiscal year is July 1 to June 30th; therefore, we are now receiving 2011 payments. Dues can be mailed to Mike’s business address – 616 W. Cabarrus ST Raleigh, NC 27603. Make checks payable to J. W. Ligon Class 1968; no checks payable to Mike.

Mike prepared a delicious meal; class members were surprised when we were treated to a hayride. It was a beautiful cool autumn day; as our pictures show, the leaves flamed with their fall colors. This was a real treat – a pond, beaver shelters, awesome farmland, and a local family history lesson as we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. What a GREAT time!

Our next meeting will be in December. Date and place to be announced.

Be safe and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
