2012 Ligon Alumni Association - Sat., July 7 & Sun., July 8

Sub-Committee Meeting Minutes April 5, 2012 – Held at the home of Ms. Carolyn Chippey. Called to order at 2:00pm - 7 in attendance. • Class of 1962 celebrating their 50th and class of 1967 its 45th anniversary • Alumni Association fundraisers will be held during the year; all classes will be notified via their representatives • Presidential Suite at the hotel has been reserved for hospitality night • Estimated food cost for Saturday night is $12,000 • No rooms available for Friday or Saturday night • Association has asked that class fundraisers before or after the reunion be shared with Carolyn Chippey • Association developing a Resolution for deceased J.W. Ligon Sr. High School alumni to be read/presented to bereaved families at appropriate time • Reserved tables will be set up for classes that turn in head count for the reunion • Finance report was given for fish fry held on March 24th, 2012 • Alumni tickets are $80 ‘til May 1st and $100 per person after • It has not yet been decided if there will be a live band or DJ • Carolyn Chippey will transition from sub-committee to the Alumni Association after the reunion; she would like all classes to have a representative so that the sub-committee can keep classes informed • Alicia Adcock representative for Class 1967 nominated to assume Carolyn Chippey’s role; unanimously agreed. • Meeting adjourn 3:30pm Respectfully Submitted, Brenae Moore Jones, 1968 Class representative Peace and continued blessings!
